Mark McMinn

Mark is a professional actor based in Glasgow, Scotland.  He has a great love of Shakespeare and performed with Folksy Theatre Company playing the role of ‘Lucentio’ in their Open Air Summer tour of The Taming of the Shrew.  He works with Raenbow Productions Children’s Theatre Company as a Workshop Leader teaching kids age 5 to 18.  Mark appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2019 with the Award Winning New Writers play Bittersweet.  At Christmas he played ‘Dafty’ the Dwarf in QDOS Entertainments Panto Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the SEC Armadillo in Glasgow.

Other credits include ‘Bottom’ in A Midsummers Night Dream, ‘Buhler’ in Conspiracy (Assembly Hall Roxy), ‘Joe’ in Hope (UK Tour), ‘Ziggy Rettes’ in Smoke Free (Scottish Tour), ‘Rob’ in You Are Not Alone (Scottish Tour), ‘Jordan’ in Much Taboo About Nothing (Rumshack Glasgow).

During the lockdown Mark has continued to stay busy and has added further credits to his Shakespeare resume after appearing with the ever growing online company The Show Must Go Online playing ‘Suffolk’ in their third production of Henry VI Part I as well as Swing in their production of Richard III.  Mark will also be a part of Sofa Shakespeare’s all Scottish cast of Macbeth.  He is delighted to be working with Shakespeare Republic and can’t wait to get started.
